Another short walk from our stay in Crackington Haven.
After leaving the car park, follow the path beside the River Valency.
The footbridge, where we crossed the river.
After a steep climb, up through Minster Wood, there is a path on the right that takes you down to Minster Church.
Minster Church was built in Norman times and is nestled in the trees and undergrowth of Minster Wood.
Minster Church was damaged by the flood of August 2004 and in the following year archaeological work was done at the church to obtain a clearer idea of the history of the building. When the church was flooded it damaged the pews, the electric organ and a lot of the church .
Having walked down, through the wood to the valley, we crossed at these stepping-stones. We turned left and joined the path that took us back to the car park
