Chalfont St. Giles circular walk
Start: Chalfont St. Giles
Finish: As above
Length: 7.80 km / 4.84 miles
Weather: Hot and sunny.
I planned this circular walk to start near to a section of our previuos walk, so that we could explore the rolling landscape near to Chalfont St. Giles and the Misbourne valley.
We started the walk near to Kiln Cottage and headed down a track to Upper Bottom House Farm.
We followed the footpath through the farm yard and then up the hill on the other side. This picture shows direction we had come from.
We walked on the path through the corn fields to the left of Day's Wood.
Looking over to Brentford Wood.
The River Misbourne valley and Little Chalfont.
Emerging from Rodger's Wood.
Wild flower meadows next to the South Bucks footpath, in the River Misbourne valley.
Looking up to Day's Wood.
The final stretch of the walk, where we left the South Bucks Way and walked uphill, following the Chiltern Way.
